A great number of today's smartphones come with the ability to fast charge. In practice however, this function remains unused in most scenarios. The reasons are the so-called charging standards, which require a mutual charging language between smartphone and charger. The conclusion: If the smartphone is being switched, the charger needs to be replaced as well to sustain this feature.

The VoltRoad iPD answers this problem by combining all the common charging standards on one charging port. A tiny computer inside the charger picks the correct charging standard depending on the used device, and supplies the best possible performance to it. The used standards are:
